Isotype

By: Gerd Arntz, Otto Neurath. Ca. 1920.

Ahh, the good old Isotype, mother of all information graphis. There are a couple of examples where Neurath and Arntz used small multiples to explain different temporal changes. Though they do necessarily provide a narrative text per picture (panel), the told story is rather clear, even if words are entirely missing. These are beautiful examples of short comic-strips illustrating a specific aspect in a simple and clear style.
